My name is Jahaira, and I am the owner of J Cuero Co. I was born in Rio Grande City, Texas, moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2011 and I currently reside in Castroville, Texas. It’s hard to figure out when and where my passion for leather really began. When I was younger, I always loved leather work, whether it was a keychain, wallet, or bag. I remember purchasing my first leather wallet from Fossil, and never did I think that I would be able to handcraft my own someday.

I was later inspired by a video I came across online from a passionate leatherworker. I felt both intrigued and challenged. I spent countless hours researching and refining the many techniques involved in the crafting process. My first wallet certainly had its flaws, but it represented a starting point for a new chapter in my life. Wallet after wallet, my techniques became sharper, and orders started coming in for what would later be J Cuero Co. I love what I do and am so thankful to those who have supported and encouraged me. What started as a hobby has grown into this business.
